Was here for lunch after seeing videos of Honest Guide. It's a simple place, nothing fancy. They accept cash only. They have an English menu as well. Serves traditional Czech food. Food tasted alright. Service was good.

One of those places that disappear from the map of Prague. Not for everyone. The atmosphere, I remember it from the communist era in Czechoslovakia. If that doesn't bother you, you've found the perfect place. The food is exactly the same as in nearby so-called Czech restaurants, only 2-3 times cheaper. Note: 1. check the opening hours because it's a bar, 2. Cash only. What you see in the picture (for 4 people) cost 800 CZK (February 2025)

Came here because of a local recommendation. It was really nice and the cheapest way to get experience Czech food without having to be charged overpriced. Only issue is this place doesn’t accept credit card and only cash. As a tourist perspective, the staffs here doesn’t speak any English. However, they have all the words written on a paper for easy communication.

I was reading that this is a must visit while in Prague as it gives you the most authentic local experience. Prices were very good, food was diversified and very tasty and so was the beer. I was surprised to see a lot of locals and tourists blending in. They also have a menu for retired people which I found inspiring. Brought to me some memories from the immediate post communist years so if you want to have this kind of experience I think this is the right place. I think that there should be more places like this all over the world for everyone to afford to eat out from time to time and for the tourists to find an authentic place to where they can taste local food and spend time among the locals.
