One of the most beautiful concert halls I have ever been to. The details are stunning, a truly incredible example of Art Nouveau. The whole place feels like everything is in total harmony. The tour was really interesting too. A total must see.
While walking through the square in Prague, surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, this stunning architectural masterpiece suddenly appears in front of you. I didn’t manage to go inside, but even from the outside it immediately caught my attention. Later I read more about it and realized how impressive the interior is as well A hall designed with remarkable detail, almost like stepping into an opera space with a strong sense of history. The people of Prague are truly lucky to have such a beautiful venue in their city.
One of a kind attraction in Europe. I dont know another place of that size and number of rooms/halls with Art Nouveau style and empire/art deco. Must be booked in the tour. Level of kowledge and curiosities provided by the guide is optimal. I was Amazon how beutiful this building is inside. Definitely a must visit in Prague if you love architecteure or art. Better to book in advance.
The Municipal House (Obecní dům) is a historical cultural center, music hall and exhibition space. There are beautiful restaurants where to taste local cuisin specialities before event or just sit down when visiting Prague old town. Definately one landmark to visit when in Prague.
The Municipal House - Obecní dům - is a stunning Art Nouveau building in the heart of Prague, next to the Powder Tower. Built in the early 20th century, it is famous for its richly decorated interiors, stained glass, and elegant murals. The Municipal House is also historically significant as the place where Czechoslovak independence was proclaimed in 1918. Inside there is a very beautiful and ornate concert hall that can accommodate up to 1200 people. At the time of our visit there were Four Seasons by philharmonic orchestra with a violin as a solo.
